Traffic Signs

Traffic signs are designed to be easily spotted and understood as drivers pass them by on the road. However, they are only effective if drivers heed their warning. Stop signs are the most common and recognizable warnings on the road, but some drivers will roll through them or simply not stop if they do not see traffic coming from other directions. If two drivers coming from different directions both ignore a stop sign, the result can be an accident. Speed signs also represent a limit and not a recommendation. In addition to getting a speeding ticket or causing an accident, driving at high speeds is not fuel efficient. As you approach an intersection, watch out for signs banning turns or U-Turns. By turning into the wrong direction of a one-way road, you could be turning right into an accident.
